Imidazole removal - in between use/prior to storage in 20% EtOH
- Wash with 3-5 column volumes of 20 mM MES pH 5.0, 0.1 M NaCl.
- Wash with 3-5 column volumes of water.
- Equilibrate with buffer or 20% EtOH for storage.
Regeneration Brief Protocol:
- Wash column with 3× volume of the resin of Water. Drain completely.
- Wash column with 3× volume of the resin of 100 mM of EDTA at pH 8.0. Drain completely.
- Wash column with 5× volume of the resin of Water. Drain completely.
- Wash column with 1× volume of the resin of 0.2 M NaOH. Drain completely.
- Wash column with 5× volume of the resin of Water. Drain completely.
- Wash column with 2× volume of the resin of 0.1 M NiSO4 or NiCl2. Drain completely.
- Wash column with 5× volume of the resin of Water. Drain completely.
- Store the resin with 20% ethanol.
